Love all the foxes! Some of those tails look ginormous with the size comparison to your pups! And I absolutely love your bed spread/pillow! Those colors are so bright and fun! Makes me hate my dull black bed spread!
Lol my mini dashchund was that size!! I have to say I miss my little doggie sometimes! They are so sweet when they just come up and curl up in your arms! My mini would climb up on my pillow and wrap himself around my neck! miss that, doesn't work well with 100+ pound dogs!
Omg! Urban Outfitters, oh I could spend my life savings at the store, and anthropologie so much amazing stuff but so expensive!! and I will admit it makes my teal wall and dresser pop like crazy! But that is still an amazing bed set! *grabby hands* hehe
Her dog sounds cute!!! I will admit, I am biased to dogs that look like mine though Kip (handsome little dude up front w/the white markings) and Oogie (lounging like a princess on the stoles) are pomeranian/chihuahua mixes; they are littermates from the same litter. Oogie was the runt... most of my tails are larger than her!
Thank you!!! A lot of people are really against fur products, and I always tell them if they don't like it, they don't have to buy them... No need to enlighten me with their "opinion" on the matter, which frankly IS NOT going to change how I feel. It's that simple! Just like anything else... You don't like cheese? Don't eat it! Hate the color pink? Don't wear it! Think fur products are WRONG? Don't buy them! And don't get all haughty and go on a moral rant at other people for enjoying cheese or sporting a pink jacket or owning a taxidermy mount just because you find it disgusting. People would get along much better if they would learn to RESPECT others' thoughts and opinions, and realize that it is all on a continuum. Nothing is black and white. Rant over!!
Hi, Very sorry if you felt unrespected by my message. It wasn't the meaning. I just wonder about the link between mankind and animals, that's all. I don't have straight answers, I wonder and I have feelings. And I understand yours are different. As those foxes look very similar to your dogs, it just makes me wonder why some animals in the scene are dead while others are alive. Why do we care for dogs and keep them alives, and why don't we do the same for foxes. I don't pretend to know any truth about that, it's just a topic of reflexion for me. I don't ask you to think my way. I just want to share my questioning on that, because I feel it's quite a deep question. Anyway, regards.
I love animals. I love them alive. Then when I see this photo I feel sad. I'd like dogs and foxes to be considered equals with the right to live. Seeing Life in the eyes of a fox or the eyes of a wolf is one of the most profound contact humans can experience with the soul of Nature. To me, dead animal furs are just a sad ruin of what the wild world is really all about... I hope someday we will grow conscious of how beautiful it is to respect wild animals as LIVING beings.
You have my like on this one, Even if they use animals their pelts they a disrespectfull against animals, thats my opinion. Just think about how those poor animals who are inocent got killed by those stupid hunters...
Personally, I'd like to see life in the eyes of a kakapo. A creature just as beautiful as a wolf.
Though I'm not trying to start an argument with you, I think it's quite judgemental that you'd automatically think someone doesn't respect animals because they use their pelts. I've used fox, coyote and wolf pelts, and if anything, it's heightened my respect for the animals - not degrade it. Just the same as I use the feathers of the hawks I work with, it's for love of the animal.
I'm sorry if the photo makes you sad, but if you don't like it or the emotions it evokes, kindly press the back button and refrain from commenting...
That said, I also love animals, and I agree that looking into the eyes of a live wolf or fox is indeed a profound experience. I'd never go kill any of these animals myself. That said, I also love taxidermy and think it is a captivating form of art, even if it is morbid. The animals are themselves beautiful, even after they have died, and I see nothing wrong with preserving that beauty for others to enjoy.
For what it's worth, all of the stoles are vintage- so those are recycled at this point. The tails are mainly from ranch foxes. If you don't like fur, don't buy it. And leave it at that.
Also, like you mentioned in a previous post, we should respect others opinions, so get along with negative comments. Eating cheese or disliking cheese is not the same like keeping dead animals as an object - I dont think its disgusting, but disrespectful. I can imagine you`re sick of us "ėgnorants", but still theres no difference between stuffing animals or humans and keeping them as `decoration` for me at all. I know I wonīt ever change your mind by posting this, but I canīt just skip this without mentioning what I think. If you post art, get along with others opinions, and if you canīt, leave it. And saying that the voxes are from a fur-farm just makes it worse, because then they didnīt die a natural death nor they had an adequate life in dignity.
To me, commentaries are not meant to be always pleasant to read. And pressing the back button would be refusing my emotion and missing an occasion to exchange with people like you who have a different point of view than mine. By the way thanks for exposing yours.
